accu weather forecast with melissa magee and we've got the some snow rain ice, depending. >> it really depend where you live. best bet finding that snowfall will be north of i78. so we will talk about the the details with this storm system late tomorrow night into monday. storm tracker six live double scan radar is showing you it is dry right now. no issues with precipitation but this time tomorrow we will start to find leading edge of that precipitation moving from a west/east direction as we track winter storm that is currently moving out of the midwest, and it will be working its way eastward as early as tomorrow evening. so high temperatures today definitely on the chilly side below average. not much recovery this evening. 27 degrees outside in philadelphia. fifteen in the poconos. current air temperature, 27 in dover, along with the coast in wildwood, 28 degrees beach haven coming in at 25. wind have been constant today, out of the northwest, sustained from 5 miles an hour in trenton to up to 16 miles an hour, in the poconos so when you factor that in we have wind chills currently in
6:25 pm
the the lower teens and it feels like 10 degrees up in the poconos. the here's satellite six with action radar partly cloudy and quiet across new england down across mid-atlantic region but bundle up stepping out on the town because later on tonight we will have wind chills in the single digits and teens. widening out the picture and this is the storm system we are tracking. area of low pressure to the north of the panhandle of texas moving across kansas city kansas i should say and also into nebraska. so this area of low pressure will be working its way east ward and as it does so the initial thought was that the storm system will dip to our south, which will give us more of a threat of snowfall for most locations, and now this storm system looks like it wants to ride up to the north not because it is a weaker storm but it is a stronger storm system but colder air at the surface and warmer air pushing in aloft. so we will talk about expected snowfall, once it arrives. for philadelphia, and area to the south and east it is mainly rain. i think for philadelphia at the on set you might find a
6:26 pm
little bit of snowfall before you get that change over to rain. three to six for areas to the north and six plus in the poconos. we will go tighter and look at the snowfall again, it is sunday night into monday morning. so snowfall mainly one to three for wayne, areas in mount holly trenton. three to six for quakertown, doylestown pottstown allentown right on that 6-inch lane and points to the north, of allentown up through poconos, easton is included in that you are six plus inches of snowfall. there will be a transition period for those location his that find that snow. icing concern mainly for morning rush are on monday. you could find a tenth to .2 of a inch for glaze from easton doylestown, pottstown west ward into reading with that freezing rain on the way. so we will break down the time line and what we are expecting with that precipitation arriving. 4:00 o'clock to 8:00 tomorrow light snow, in the the mix will a a arrive 1:00 o'clock in the morning to 9:00 a.m. we have heavier snowfall in the mix. i think in the city you will
6:27 pm
find that snow quickly then changing over to rain fairly quickly. waking up monday morning i should say this is a soaking rain for the city and points to the south. accu weather forecast showing you lightening snow on the way tomorrow, high temperature of 38. it depend on where you live. so best bet of finding that snowfall is north and west of that 95 corridor. snow sleet rain for monday, a high temperature of 41. much colder behind that on tuesday high of 27, and 43 on wednesday with temperatures maryland rating and then we're back down into temperatures below average for the end of next week walter so we will track that closely tomorrow. >> i don't care what happens we are still better then last year. that scared me for life. >> yes, been slow. >> thanks, in melissa. world news saturday is next on channel six. don't miss "action news" at ten on phl17 tonight. then we're back here at 6:00 abc at 11:00. for melissa magee, jeff skversky and the entire "action news" team, i am walter per zest. we will see you right back here at 11:00 o'clock.
